Cortney Dixon, artist, producer and guitarist from South Shields arrived with a bang last summer with her first single 'Bang Bang, Honey Honey' and has consistently been releasing addictive indie-pop bops ever since. Her music has landed on numerous Spotify New Music Friday playlists and has received plays on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music.

Cortney's distinctive sound draws influences from the likes of PJ Harvey, HAIM, Blondie, David Bowie, Kate Bush and Stevie Nicks. It’s alt-pop powered by her love of indie-rock. Her fuzzed up guitar tone paired with big-organic beats creates the perfect back drop for Cortney's unique vocals and catchy pop melodies. Music has always been Cortney's happy place in the darkest of moments. 'During the saddest times, I write my happiest songs'. Her music is a place to escape, dream, dance, be playful and outrageous. She's able to cryptically address serious subject matters in her lyrics without bringing down the mood of her indie-pop bangers! ​

Cortney produces the wildest and most compelling music videos with her talented videographer friend, Rob Irish.
